A Spectrum Colour-Code Officer's Spacesuit is designed to match the officer's colour code. Its purpose is to give the officers oxygen and protection from the dangers of space.
All Spectrum senior officers with colour code-names possess such suits, issued to them as regulation uniforms for space missions. This means that, presumably, Colonel White, Captains Black (though he commanded the Zero-X Mission to Mars, he was not seen wearing one), Brown, Grey, Magenta, Ochre, and Indigo, and Chief Medical Officer Doctor Fawn possess them as well. However, none of these eight were ever shown actually wearing these particular suits, due to no instalments showing any of them participating in missions in space.
Basics[]
- A colour-coded helmet that has a glass visor at the front to see through. It also protects the wearer's head and gives them a supply of oxygen. The helmet includes a built in miniature transceiver for communications which is operated through a microphone inside of the helmet along with an antenna on the left side on the outside of it which works the same way as the Spectrum Cap Radio Communicator.
- A silver suit, that is bulky for protection but also has stretchable limbs to allow the officer to move freely. It also has a colour-coded belt with a silver buckle and hip-holster to hold the wearer's Spectrum-Issue Space Pistol. Other gadgets can also be attached to the belt.
- Silver gloves to protect the hands from any harmful components.
- Silver boots for hovering and floating safely.
Appearances[]
- The spacesuits have only been officially shown once in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, in the instalment "Crater 101"--they were then worn by Captain Scarlet, Captain Blue, and Lieutenant Green. In the instalment "The Inquisition", they were shown again in a flashback.
