Lieutenant Green, in the original 1960s super-marionation programme Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, is the Spectrum Organisation code name of Seymour Griffiths, a computer expert and World Aquanaut Security Patrol Marineville Control Tower veteran who serves both as the aide to Colonel White, the CINCSPEC of the entire Spectrum Organisation, and as the Chief Of Communications on Cloudbase, the flying aircraft carrier that serves as Spectrum's command headquarters. Cy Grant provided his voice.
In New Captain Scarlet, a hyper-marionation programme, Lieutenant Green is the code name of Serena Lewis, Colonel White's aide and Communications Chief aboard Skybase.

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons[]

Before Spectrum[]

Seymour Griffiths is a native of Port Of Spain, Trinidad, and the oldest of nine children. When their parents were both killed in a plane crash, he was forced to rear them all on his lonesome. It proved to be a testament to his maturity that even with this responsibility, he still managed to earn degrees in music, telecommunications, and computers. (Fanon sources credit him with having invented and patented the pocket radio telescope, the royalties from whose patent permanently solved his family's financial problems.) An amateur musician, he plays the guitar.

WASP service[]

After acquiring his academic credentials, Griffiths served in the World Aquanaut Security Patrol, alongside Bradley Holden, as the chief of Marineville's control tower, from which the Spectrum Organisation recruited him. (It also recruited Holden, whom it gave the code name of Captain Grey, from the WASP.)

In Spectrum[]

Lieutenant Green, being Colonel White's aide and the Cloudbase Chief Of Communications, rarely has chances to undertake missions in the field. "Avalanche" depicts one of the few field missions in which he has participated; the "Lunarville Trilogy's" first and second instalments, "Lunarville 7" and "Crater 101" respectively, depict at least two others.

New Captain Scarlet[]

In New Captain Scarlet, Lieutenant Green is a major character. She is the main officer who is in charge of Skybase Control, and she relays Colonel White's orders to the Angels and Captains alike. Lieutenant Green is female instead of male in NCS, her real name being Serena Lewis. Lieutenant Green's father was a victim of Mysteron takeover, which was heartbreaking to her. In NCS, Jules de Jongh provided her voice.
